Burillo Ministries Update

Resting in the truth that it is finished—and He is forever faithful.

We are so thankful for all the Lord continues to do here in Chiapas through your prayers, encouragement, and support. It is a joy to share some of the recent developments and testimonies from the ministry.

The Sower Institute

• We are approaching the end of Phase 2 of The Sower Institute, which will conclude at the end of June.

• It has been beautiful to watch the students continue growing in the Word, in community life, and in practical ministry.

• Several students are now preparing to continue into Phase 3, which will begin in August. We are excited to see them continue discovering and walking in God’s purpose for their lives.

• During these months, the students have participated in:

• Outreach events in parks in Cintalapa

• Ministry opportunities in local schools

• Teaching and serving the children at El Faro de Esperanza

• Devotional times with both the staff and children

• The students have also been developing practical skills in workshops:

• Bread making

• Hair cutting

These workshops have become wonderful opportunities to grow in creativity, stewardship, service, and teamwork.

• We continue seeing students being formed in biblical knowledge, and also in love, compassion, humility, and servant-hearted leadership.

Raíces Bible School

• Escuela Bíblica Raíces, which meets three Saturdays each month, recently began its third module with great excitement.

• We are really encouraged to see the students sharing with others what they are learning.

• The hunger for God’s Word continues to grow, and we now have around 50 students, including many new students this module.

• We are deeply thankful to the Lord for every seed being planted into good soil—hearts that are willing, open, and thirsty for His truth.

Discipleship Groups

• The discipleship groups continue growing steadily.

• We recently opened another discipleship group in Cintalapa, making it the third group in that city alone.

• In total, there are now six active discipleship groups, and it is truly encouraging to witness the wonderful work of Jesus in people’s lives.

• We continue seeing people strengthened in their identity in Christ, growing in fellowship, and becoming grounded in the goodness and truth of God.

Chicken & Egg Project

• The chicken and egg project continues moving forward little by little.

• Right now, we are focusing primarily on developing our laying hens and improving the pasture areas where they can live more naturally and freely.

• Our goal is to create healthier, sustainable systems that can bless and support the ministry long-term while also caring well for the animals entrusted to us.

Mission Team from Pennsylvania

• We were also blessed to host a mission team from Pennsylvania for nearly a month here in Chiapas.

• Their time with us was filled with encouragement, service, ministry, prayer, and genuine love for the people.

• The team participated in outreaches, children’s ministry, school visits, worship, prayer, and community life alongside our students and staff.

• Their presence brought great encouragement not only to our ministry team, but also to many families, children, and churches throughout the area.

• We are thankful for the unity in the Body of Christ and for brothers and sisters willing to serve, love, and sow into what God is doing here in Mexico.

Upcoming Family Visit

• At the end of June, we will also be traveling to Colombia to visit Lili’s family for a special time together.

• We are thankful for this opportunity to reconnect, rest, and spend meaningful time with family.
