Dear Friends and Partners,
Lili, Andrés, Tomás, and I are excited to share with you that we are being lead into a new opportunity!
In May, Lili, the boys, and I visited Bill and Tammy in Chiapas. We received the invitation in February 2024 when we met them at the Grace and Faith conference in Queretaro, Mexico.
Bill and Tammy Woods of Lost and Found Ministries have invited us to join them in establishing a ministry training center in Chiapas, Mexico. Bill and Tammy have been missionaries for more than 30 years and have served in Mexico for over 25 years. They arrived in Arriaga, Chiapas, Mexico, all those years ago with few material possessions but with a desire to please the Lord and help people establish a living relationship with Jesus. Their desire was to start a Bible school, which they did. As the group of students grew and began to impact the community, there was a need for a church, which they started. Then a need within the community arose to care for orphaned children. So they began an orphanage. As they met the community's needs, the Bible school was put on pause. However, their passion for helping people discover their purpose in the Lord did not fade.
While visiting, we were really impacted by all the work the Lord has done through them with the orphans, the church, and their impact in the community. They shared their vision for the bible school and international ministry training center. That vision resonated with Lili and I, speaking to our hearts.
Then, the most wonderful thing happened!—they invited us to help them start The Sower International Ministry Training Center! Lili, Andrés, Tomás, and I have accepted their invitation and have been working hard with Lost and Found's amazing team to lay the foundation for The Sower.
We want to help people establish themselves in the Word and in their purpose so they can make a lasting impact on communities around the world for the Kingdom.
We will be moving to Cintalapa, Chiapas on July 10, after the boys finish school on the 9th. Chiapas is a 13-hour drive to the south from Querétaro.
Lili, Andrés, Tomás and I are extremely grateful to God for everything He has done and will do for us. We are thankful that you have partnered with Jesus through our lives and that your partnership has touched people’s lives with Jesus’ tangible love. We invite you to sow financially into the lives of the people of Chiapas, Mexico and Latin America and in our upcoming move to Chiapas in July.
The future is bright, and you are bringing hope to people across the Spanish-speaking world. Thank you! You are a blessing, and we are blessed by your ministry!
We want to share with you the amazing things the Lord is doing in Mexico. We share a story from our recent visit to the Maternal Health and Children’s Hospital.
Jesus Arturo peeked out at us from behind his mother, Dulce as they waited for the bus. He was probably 4 or 5 years old and there was fear in his eyes. I imagine he was asking himself whether we would hurt him. There were bandages on his arms and he was holding a little matchbox car. “Hola” I said “Could I see your car? Would you share it with me?” He did. “Wow! It is really cool. It looks like a race car.” I raced it along the ground “Vrooom!” as the car tore down an invisible racetrack. "Squreatch!" as it ripped around an imaginary corner. Arturo smiled, stepping halfway out from behind his mom to see the car racing along the pavement. “Arturo,” I said, “this is a great car! It's really fast.” I passed the car back to him.
He received it, smiling and nodding to show that he knew it was an awesome car. I looked to Dulce “Why are you and Arturo here this evening?” Dulce shared “Jesus had his treatment for lymphoma today.” I stooped back down in front of Arturo. “Arturo, do you know you are loved?” I asked. He looked at me with wide eyes. “Your mom loves you.” He snuggled up against her leg. “God loves you, Arturo. And He sent me here tonight to tell you that… and to heal you, so that you will know that you are loved.” I paused for a second and looked back up to Dulce. “Dulce, I believe the Lord brought us here tonight so that He could heal your son. May I hold your son's hand and pray with him?” “Yes” she said, tears running down her cheeks. “Arturo, may I hold your hand?" He reached out his hand. I took hold of Arturo's hand and smiled at him. “Jesus, I thank you for life, for the life of Jesus Arturo, for the life of Dulce. I thank you for the life I have in you. Lord, you told me to lay hands on the sick and they would recover. Jesus Arturo, I speak life, wholeness, and healing into your body and blood. I curse lymphoma and command it to dry up, to die and leave your body in the name of Jesus!" You are blessed and whole, Jesus Arturo! Amen!”
I hugged Jesus Arturo. I stood up and gave Dulce a hug. “Dulce, I believe that Jesus Arturo is healed. I believe his healing was provided 2,000 years ago when Jesus died and resurrected. Do you believe that, Dulce?” “Yes!” she stated, wiping away tears. “I believe that my son is healed, and that we will receive a good report from the doctors at his next check-up. Thank you. Thank you.” Dulce smiled and gave me another hug...
We share this story to encourage you. Through your prayers and generosity it was you who ministered to Jesus Arturo and Dulce that evening, you laid hands on Jesus Arturo and brought hope and faith to Dulce's life. Lili and I thank you for sending us and allowing us to be the tangible love of Christ to the people of Mexico!
Loving God and Loving the People He Loves,
Rob, Lili, Andy and Tommy
