Our story…
Hi! We’re Robert and Liliana Burillo—a cross-cultural couple who said “yes” to God’s call to missions and never looked back. With roots in the U.S., Mexico, and Colombia, our story is a mix of cultures, faith, and a whole lot of family. God has blessed us with four amazing sons—two who are grown and living in the States, and two younger ones who are right here with us on the mission field, learning and serving alongside us.
Burillo Ministries is more than just what we do—it’s who we are as a family. Our heart is to see people encounter the love of Jesus, to walk in the freedom of His grace, and to become leaders who carry His light into their own communities.
For a season, we served at Charis Bible College in Querétaro—a place where we saw God move powerfully. Then, He stirred our hearts again and led us to Cintalapa, Chiapas, a beautiful corner of Mexico where we now serve alongside incredible missionaries and help launch an international training center for ministers “El Sembrador”
Every day, we get to be part of discipleship, community outreach, and seeing lives completely changed by God’s love—and it’s the greatest joy. We’re so thankful you’re here, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you—because it’s not just our story. It’s what God is doing, and you’re part of it too..

Walking alongside families
We’re investing in families here—praying with them, encouraging parents and children, and helping them experience God’s love in their homes and communities.
Serving communities
Through food outreach, kids’ programs, and street ministry, we’re bringing hope and joy to neighborhoods, showing God’s love in real, practical ways.
Supporting future leaders
We provide scholarships, tools, and materials to Bible students, helping them grow in their calling and step confidently into ministry.
Welcoming teams to serve
We love hosting mission teams here in Chiapas—together we serve in churches, schools, and communities, spreading God’s love far and wide..
Celebrating new life
We’ve loved walking alongside new believers, teaching on baptism, and celebrating as they step into faith, freedom, and a fresh start in Jesus.
Strengthening local churches
Here in Chiapas and across Mexico, we’re pouring into local churches—encouraging, serving, and helping build up the Body of Christ in love, unity, and truth.
Planting for greater impact
God has led us to Chiapas to help launch The Sower, an international ministry training center, where we’re raising up leaders to reach all of Latin America.
Teaching and training
At El Sembrador, we get to equip disciples who live God’s Word boldly, with compassion, and a heart ready to serve wherever He calls.
