Our story…
Hi! We’re Robert and Liliana Burillo—a cross-cultural couple who said “yes” to God’s call to missions and never looked back. With roots in the U.S., Mexico, and Colombia, our story is a mix of cultures, faith, and a whole lot of family. God has blessed us with four amazing sons—two who are grown and living in the States, and two younger ones who are right here with us on the mission field, learning and serving alongside us.
Burillo Ministries is more than just what we do—it’s who we are as a family. Our heart is to see people encounter the love of Jesus, to walk in the freedom of His grace, and to become leaders who carry His light into their own communities.
For a season, we served at Charis Bible College in Querétaro—a place where we saw God move powerfully. Then, He stirred our hearts again and led us to Cintalapa, Chiapas, a beautiful corner of Mexico where we now serve alongside incredible missionaries and help launch an international training center for ministers “El Sembrador” and Raíces Bible School.
Every day, we get to be part of discipleship, community outreach, and seeing lives completely changed by God’s love—and it’s the greatest joy. We’re so thankful you’re here, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you—because it’s not just our story. It’s what God is doing, and you’re part of it too..

Hosting international mission teams for practical ministry and cultural immersion, giving participants real opportunities to serve, teach, and grow.
Training Leaders through The Sower Institute
Raising and equipping a new generation of Spirit-filled ministers at The Sower Institute an international ministry training center in Chiapas, Mexico.Discipling New Believers
Offering weekly discipleship classes that establish believers in grace, faith, and the finished work of Jesus—helping them grow strong, mature, and be fruitful in their walk with God.Developing Ministry Projects
Creating hands-on, self-sustaining initiatives—such as poultry projects, that will serve both students and communities while demonstrating practical stewardship and Kingdom principles.
